I'm a member of BJ's Warehouse Club.

BJ's is currently selling a Blaupunkt car CD player and radio for only $99. That seems awfully cheap to me. Does anyone have any opinions?

Years ago I had a friend who bought a Porsche which came with a Blaupunkt, and he told me that it was always going on the fritz (there's a pun!).

Years ago I also had a car that came with a Blaupunkt. I didn't like it; it was unreliable and got poor reception. It was eventually stolen by a very professional thief, who didn't otherwise harm the car at all. Not only did I consider myself lucky that my car wasn't damaged, but I was actually happy that I now had an incentive to go buy a decent radio (NOT a Blaupunkt). But like I said, that was a long time ago -- I don't have any recent information on the brand. Allan

Thanks for the input, Allan.

It's the only thing I've ever seen at BJ's marked down, so I'm going to give it a pass.

Does anyone have any opinions?I've had a Blaupunkt Vegas(?) player in my car for several years, has always worked great. Only drawback - the display. Works fine, but functionality not as described in the manual.

Years ago, I had a Blaupunkt cd player in my car. I never had problems with it, and for some reason I was always able to fine-tune the sound quite well. It eventually was stolen, along with about 70 cd's and my bookbag containing my school books (probably to carry away my cd's, but at least they could've left the books). Bastards!
