I just discovered a great Jazz Pianist by the name of Patrick Curley. The Trio goes by "3's A Crowd". This guy flat plays. Works with people like Patitucci, Earskine, Carmine D'Amico and others. I found the site quite by accident. Amazing what is out in the jazz world waiting to be discovered.
The URL is http://www.pmctech.com/3ac. Amazing.

I must admit I've never heard of this guy. I'll keep my eyes and more importantly my ears open!

I gotta admit I thought this thread was about THE Great Jazz Trio with Hank Jones, Ron Carter and Tony Williams.

Speaking of new jazz trios. You folks in NYC may have seen the name of pianist Pete Malinverni. A new cd, Autumn In New York with Dennis Irwin and Billy Drummond. Recently did a stint at the Jazz Gallery. Tastey!
I'll keep my ears open for Patrick Curley, too. Nice to know about.

Nice call on Malinverni. That trio disc just on Reservoir is real nice. He just had a gig in NYC -- Feb. 28 at the Jazz Gallery -- but I missed it. You can't see everything.
