I'm looking for any resource recommendations or websites(perhaps free;) ) for someone starting to learn piano.
I have a basic understanding of chord construction and some theory under my belt so im not a complete noob.
I'm looking for help w/ fingering exercises and anything else thats is essential in learning to play.
thanks:)

AG,
I've been "working out" on the keys for a couple years now (after a long time at the drums), and I found the following resource to be REALLY helpful:
http://www.pianochordfinder.org/html/chord_book_advert.htm
Yes, the site has an air of cheese about it, but if you download the book called "How to Speed Read Piano Chord Symbols" you will find that you'll be moving around the keyboard very quickly with a little help from a simple visual pattern technique. Basically, the method taught here is about the relationship between chords, 4ths, and how they relate to the way the keyboard is laid out. At any rate, I found this method to be very efficient, esp. as opposed to the traditional(?) way of learning stacked triads - which I had wrestled with for a while w/out much success (i.e. the learning came slow).
A tip: the site and book are really low-budget. If you do buy it, don't be alarmed at the lack of information after you actually purchase -- just go back to your email inbox after you order and there should be a link for you to follow in order to download.
Best of luck! Know that I'm in the pit fighting with you!
