was recommended bugge weseltoft's new conception of jazz ... would appreciate any reviews or info on this piece of work.

I've heard 'new conception of jazz' and I must admit it didn't hit me much. But maybe I have to listen it one more time.

I quite enjoy NCoJ. The word 'noodling' certainly comes to mind though.
Check out other samples from the JazzLand (http://www.jazzlandrec.com/) Label
I like the angular stuff of Eivind Aarset, but this is very Scandanavian, cool and smoothly constructed at a gentler pace.

excellent site, thanks for that. It's good to see jazz merge & take on other forms of music, the likes of House and Ambient... and these guys are doing it well!
