I assume this is the one first shown a few months back - very good programme. Though I'd like to see the one BBC2 did back in 1977 again!
I notice this one is followed by a recently filmed performance of Under Milk Wood. I'll be watching that.

The Stan Tracey programme was very good (if its the same one Bev mentions).
A little anecdote about Stan; I was at Ronnie Scotts many years back, and Stan was on the bill. Before the gig began, he was sat at one of the tables smoking (for people who don't know Stan it should be mentioned here that he sometimes looks a little dishevelled), when an obviously new waitress, taking him for a customer, told him he couldn't sit there, it was reserved. Stan simply gave her a contemptuous stare, and carried on. 2 minutes later, she came back, asked him to move again, and upped the ante by threatening to call the bouncer...
This time Stan gave a wry smile and didn't move. The poor girl turned to go and get help, and I grabbed her as she went past and quietly informed her that the 'problem' was Stan Tracey, that the club was his second home, and she shouldn't push the matter any further. Embarassed, she apologised, Stan accepted the apology gracefully, and I got served free drinks all night by said waitress for having saved her job!

I don't suppose STs cheeks were full of cotton wool in this programme?
