Just wanted to let everyone know about a new free series of audio lessons that is available. There are three lessons posted so far (there will be new lessons posted every 25 days or so, there are 15 lessons planned).
They are:
Lesson One-Location Within Form
Lesson Two- The basic language of jazz
Lesson Three-The Two bar phrase
You can download the lessons and give them a listen at www.jazzpath.com (http://www.jazzpath.com) or at Itunes. Each comes with a free play-a-long. These lessons are geared for beginning and intermediate level players who want to improve the melodic content of their improv. The lessons are progressive and will continue to get more challenging.
