Wynton Kelley starts it off with Cmi7,F7,Bmi7-E7,Bbmi7-Eb7,Am7b5,D7 etc(The commas separating the bars). Find a Keith Jarrett version!

Another nice thing to do at the top of the form (during the blowing) is Cm7,F7, Fmi7-Bb7, Ebmaj7
Bill Evans does this kinda business on his version of All the Things from his Alone recording.
You can put any kinda sauce on the 7th chords you like. Season to taste.

Maybe its just me, but all of these versions that indicate a Bbmi 7 to Eb7 when the melody note is D NATURAL make my teeth hurt.

as in :Cmi7,F7,Bmi7-E7,Bbmi7-Eb7 ( hello ?????? ..Eb MA 7 anyone ?),Am7b5,D7 etc

I can even live with splitting the EbMA7 bar with two beats of AbMA75b if you must, but the overall harmonic rhythm of this tune is basically one chord per bar in its original form:

Cmi7 F7 BbMA7 EbMA7 Ami75b D7 Gmi ......

But...people do use 'blowing changes' on tunes, that don't always conform perfectly to the melody. Check out the blowing changes on Serenade To A Cuckoo for instance( you'll have to find a recording). How 'bout Four on Six( which probably had its inception as blowing changes on Summertime). Any others that you all can think of?
