I've been trying to figure something out & maybe you could help me. I grew up listening to jazz & rediscovered it in my teens when I got the urge to thumb through my dad's old records. Upon doing this I found a Jack McDuff album entitled The Heatin System.
It is NOT the one pictured on most sites. And I'm not just talking cover art.
I can't recall the entire line up, but Greg Williams played drums, Durf Walker on congas, Phil Upchurch (sporting an eye patch) on bass I believe. It is a double album, and smoked on all 4 sides.
I'm sure it's out of print/rare. Could you help me find who may have these analogs or original recordings? They need to be re-mastered to CD!!! I can't believe that this album isn't mentioned ANYWHERE!!!
It is THE BEST ALBUM I own, and I've got a lot of good $#!%. Any ideas you, whoever you are, might have I would greatly appreciate. I can get you any info you need off the album.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.
