Let the festivities begin... in about four hours or so, Brooklyn time. When I was younger, I used to dig Ornette way more in practice than Bix but now things are about even. And I'll take even "bad" (usually the non-Bill Challis arranged) Jean Goldkette/Paul Whiteman over almost all of the Prime Time records. Iowa, Texas: who could ever choose?
