I am in need of some expert help. I am looking for a jazz album titled "Lalluby of Birdland" . The album was from around the mid fifties. It was a compilation of jazz artists all performing Lullaby of Birdland. Both sides. I believe on capitol records.
My mother recently informed me it was a favorite of my fathers and when I was 3 years old I found it and stepped on it. I want to track down a copy for my 3 year old daughter to give him

No this was an RCA album..I think a CD with a similar cocept has just been issued, maybe by the Lonehill type issues, within the last 6 month or so

added,.. actually it is a Giant Steps CD, but it is not the RCA version
You'll find it on Amazon if you search Lullaby of Birdland

I think this is what you're looking for:

http://www.amazon.com/Birdland-Different-Interpretations-Arrangers-Exciting/dp/B001BYCZ0M/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1220904705&sr=1-28

Unfortunately, it's expensive and it's a used LP.

But he's worth it.
