Hi.
I'd like to know if anyone knows the exact chord changes Coltrane and Tyner use on "my favorite things".
They differ quite a bit from the original song, allowing Coltrane to improvise on Em7 and EM7 alternatively.
However, I have troubles hearing the changes during the theme.
Looks like McCoy Tyner starts on
*Em7 - EmM7*Em7 - EmM7* Am6/9 * Am6/9 * Am6/9 * Am6/9 * Em * FM7 * Am *Am - B7*
I stop here ! It's hard to write chord changes on a message board !
Well, I'm not quite sure. The voicings Tyner uses make it difficult to make out, and the bass E pedal point confuses my poor little ears.
I think I'm not too far from the truth.
If anyone owns the transcription or knows the chord changes, would it be possible to share it with me, correct me, send it to me or something ?
Thanks a lot.
