soulstream networks

With all this talk of the demise of jazz on radio, i thought i'd mention some good news.
Every sunday from 5:30 - 6:30pm EST (NY time) http://soulstreamnetworks.com showcases everything from Duke Ellington, to Bud Powell, to John Coltrane, to Ahmad Jamal to Freddie Hubbard to Sun Ra etc. In other words this is not a "purist" jazz show, nor is it smooth or acid jazz show (though you'll occasionaly hear some of that too!).
"this is jazz" is a show emphasizing all the great styles under the "jazz" umbrella". The show is archived all week for easy download under "This is Jazz". In our forum you can see the playlist with links to sites that provide info on all the records played (this minimizes talking during the show).
For an example you can check this weeks episode which is a special feature on Yusef Lateef, Archie Shepp and Cecil Taylor...
Soulstream Networks is a new online radio station specializing in music from a Black American lineage. The main emphasis is on dance musics: motown, soul, funk, disco, hiphop, house, electro and jazz too comes from the same lineage.
