CCMusic's shipping & handling is $5. Man, that's a lot. I think I'll have to check out to see if I can find some additional stuff to lower the shipping per disc. Anyone got any other recommendations from these guys?

Kevin

This is a really nice 2 disc set but I wouldn't go and pay some crazy price for it. Of course if you were to offer me a crazy price for mine..............lol:cool:

Hey Kevin - how about:

Various Artists: Jazz In Paris
Jazz and Paris have had a long love affair, and here are their children: 75 CDs chronicling the incredibly rare and historic recordings made by such small (and mostly extinct) French jazz labels as Blue Star, Vega, Club Francais Du Disque and Fontana from 1945 to 1965! Among these long sought-after sides you’ll find work by the many American jazz musicians who lived in Paris or passed through there, as well as performances by such homegrown talents as Michel Legrand, Claude Bolling, Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. And the Americans? Just about everybody who’s anybody: Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Don Byas, Chet Baker, Kenny Clarke, Art Blakey, Stan Getz, Lionel Hampton, Earl Hines, Lester Young (his last recordings), Zoot Sims, Sidney Bechet and many more. Each CD comes with 24-bit remastering and inside a Digipak, with new liner notes. Simply 'magnifique!'
75 CD SET!
ON SALE! $699.95 $629.96 buy

THAT should lower your price per disc!

Kevin,

There doesn't seem to be much of interest among the "closeouts" at present. However, since ccmusic is currently offering free shipping on orders over $50, you may consider purchasing one of the Mosaic sets they have for sale. Most of the sets are about $12 above Mosaic retail, but the Manone/Prima and Chico Hamilton are each only about $4 above list. The free shipping offer makes both of these sets attractive purchases.
