I recently purchased from Mosaic what was supposedly the complete Mosaic set - #158 Miles Davis: The Complete Plugged Nickel Sessions (10 Q-LPs).
The set is actually missing LP#1.
By any chance does anyone out there have an extra LP 1 that they are willing to sell?
Please contact me.
Thanks,
Russ

Russell,
Won't Mosiac make good on the set? It would very unlike them not to!

Sounds like he purchased an OOP remaindered set. I've done this before as well. You buy partial sets that they had left in stock which were either returned or left in stock to replace damaged or lost merchandise. I would be very surprised if Mosaic didn't tell him that it was an incomplete set before it was sold.

You beat me too it Tod. I've bought a bunch of these remaindered sets over the years and always was told exactly what was missing before I bought it.
I got my Mel Lewis/Thad Jones set that way. They told me they had LPs 1-4 of 7. But when it showed up at my door, they had shipped LPs 1-4 AND LPs 6 and 7. It was accompanied by a note that read - found LPs 6 and 7 - enjoy!

Supposedly complete and it wasn't? Why don't you ask for an exchange or a refund?

Just to clarify, I was placing an order with Mosaic and I noticed that the Plugged Nickel set popped up in the "Last Chance" section of the web page.
I quickly called Mosaic and spoke to Fred. I was told that it was a complete set that Scott happened to find in the back of their building.
The set arrives and it is missing LP #1. I call Mosaic, they apologize for the mistake and offer me a full refund etc.
I would like to keep the set if I can find the missing LP other wise I will return.
Regards,
Russ
