Does anyone here have any thoughts about EIS? (EIS = Equal Interval System)
I've learned all sorts of composing and arranging techniques over the years and learned all sorts of great things from great writers, but I've come across a few EIS people on the internet and they all act like they hold the keys to the kingdom, so to speak. They seem sort of cult-like, making claims that this obscure approach "frees you from the limitations" of what you learn at established music institutions. Funny thing is though, I haven't actually heard any great pieces of music produced with EIS. Yes, I know about the website, but I'm not impressed with what I see there either.
Just wondering if anyone else has run into these EIS disciples that think they've got "the secrets" and a leg up on everyone else.
