Only a new fan could miss this one....

What would be fun to have is a quiz including none of the above as
    an option!

Mike, Can we create our own? Or do we have to wait for the next one?

    hey everyone,

game #2 is supposed to be a confidence builder for the newbies.

    matt,

shawn has been creating the games. he did a bunch in advance, but there's no reason why you can't create some too.

    here's how...

    * record a sound sample (greater than 1 second/less than seven)

    * create a list of five potential answers

    * check the correct answer and specify the song title

    * email me the answers and the sound sample as an MP3 file (somewhere between 30-45K)

    * i add the photos, create the game thread and post the previous week's answer

True, I purposefully built a backlog of clips to get the ball rolling, but I was hoping others would join in and offer up material, too. Only one regret; I never got around to doing any true “ball-breaker” clips. Well, maybe there is one. It involves a musician’s introduction to a tune rather than his actual playing...

That's Teddy Wilson! I'd know it anywhere!

Hey Shawn, how about a test where we're supposed to guess who Wynton is trying to imitate? Does Mike have a Buddy Bolden picture?

For genius I'd go with Miles but for top flight consistency I'd go with Kenny Dorham.

    Oh that’s just great, Ed.

Mike, might as well dump the Wynton plays Brötzmann’s “Machine Gun” clip.

So you thought the clip was Dorham? Which album?
