Doing that appeals to me. I've wanted to hear it played in other than a trio setting ever since I wrote it a long time ago. Maybe I'll get to it sooner.

I tend to use close harmonies when voicing for jazz ensembles, but this three-trumpet, one of everything else to be determined later is going to be a bit of a challenge.
I'm impressed by your creds.

Timna is a really pretty song, Al. I like it! It is really nice when you guys add the audiofiles so we can listen. Hope to hear your others soon too.

I wasn't sure it made it. That site crashes my browser when I try to upload audio. The recording is from several years ago in a pianobar. A patron had a minidisc recorder. Observe the overwhelming audience response.

I just managed to upload an audio clip of the head to Tenor Sadness. It will give you a idea of the melody and changes. I don't have one yet of Angel Puss. Maybe later. I wrote a big band chart for it a while back. Maybe I can get it recorded during a rehearsal soon.

Well I would have appreciated the song if I had been there for sure!

Wow, that's lovely! I'm really happy that there are ballads entering the 'competition' this time. I like all the ballads so far, so one must make it to the finish line!

I would like to thank all of you guys for keeping us posted during the progress. I really enjoy seeing and listening what you have been working on and still are. I very much admire you all for your talent and skills! Thank you so much for sharing this!

I hope so, too. I just might convert Tenor Sadness into 3/4 time. I hadn't looked at it in a while, and now whenever I hear it in my head, it's a jazz waltz.
