Amazing that John Stossel, the beauty boy of ABC and who was the true investigative reporter for 20/20 program was fired when he tried to run this.

Now you can hear and see WHY John was fired!!! The following link is to John Stossel's ABC (20-20) special that was delayed by ABC until after Henry Waxman's House committee voted on HR3200. Maybe somebody at ABC finally got around to watching the segment called GREED IS GOOD: Why We Should Let Wall Street Police Itself that aired a few years ago.

Stossel had a window in his contract that allowed him to jump over to Fox News, which he took advantage of.
I'm sure that as part of his benefits package at Fox, he'll be heavily insured. Must be nice.

Hmm. I'm a few weeks late to this discussion, but this question needs to be answered.

I can't tell how much of Stossel's report is true, but that's irrelevant. It's Stossel's conclusions that are false.

His program doesn't prove anything about government-run healthcare. On its surface all it does is allege that in some countries the government may be spending too little on healthcare.

That could indeed end up being the situation here if the spineless Democrats keep whining about keeping costs down and don't pass a truly competitive public option.

For Stossel to claim that this must be the case is pure B.S., driven by his Libertarian ideology.
