Problem with the artist sign in page

I've been trying to make an artist page but it keeps insisting that I'm leaving the "state" field blank, even though I most definitely am putting in Ohio. I've even tried using different browsers and it still does it- does anyone know what this is about????

I need some clarification.

Did you sign up at All About Jazz already or are you having trouble signing up?

You mentioned trying to create a musician profile page, but the address information associated with a musician profile is optional.

I am trying to sign up, I have not had an account before.

I've been trying to sign up here http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/signup.php
but I just get repeatedly told that I can't leave the state field blank.

are you filling in the country, state, city, zip fields?

it is. 40-100 members sign up each day.

do me a fave and check to see if you have an aaj cookie. highly unlikely, but if one exists, delete it and try again.

also try from another browsers.

weightless, we are aware of the problem and someone who recently experienced the same issue sent us a screen shot of the failed sign up page.

we'll look into it after we address the malware issue.

weightless, the sign in issue was actually caused by the malware problem.

try signing up now and let me know if it works.

I had all but given up on it, thanks!

So I got in and started filling in everything and this leads me to another question; when someone searches for me (Alex Schrock) in a search engine, my member profile shows up but not my musician profile. Is there a reason for this or is there something I can do about it?
