Other musicians who sound like this?
I've been lurking on the fringes of jazz for years. The main reason is that, usually, only a certain style really grabs me. The jazz recordings I've enjoyed the most are often described as "introspective" or "melodic." Many are in minor keys or hint at those type of scales. The best examples I've found are Paul Desmond, Miles Davis on "Sketches of Spain" and Chet Baker.
Are there some other names that belong under this umbrella that I should be seeking out? |
