Let My Children Hear Music - Charles Mingus

Just bought this absolutely wonderful Charles
Mingus record (on CD). It was originally issued on LP
40 odd years ago, and somehow I'm only getting wise to it now!

I got it yesterday in the mail: Brad Mehldau Trio - Progression: Art of the Trio, Volume 5

Brad Mehldau - piano
Larry Grenadier - bass
Jorge Rossy - drums

It is live, two-CD album of great trio jazz. Peace and goodwill.

Thought this would be a good place to introduce myself. New to forum, not to Jazz. Look forward to the site.

Just got these two out-of-print CDs on ebay:

Jaki Byard - Parisian Solos
Really looking forward to hearing this. According to Gary Giddins, Byard regarded this as his best recording. Anyone heard it?

Lee Konitz & Martial Solal - Star Eyes, Hamburg 1983
This has been on my "to get" list for forever. Finally found a copy. Two of my favorite musicians who always sound great together.

Would anyone recommend Amazon

Does anyone know if Amazon is a great place to buy music and do they have a good selection. I noticed from a post that the pricing looks very good, is it downloadable or do you have to wait for shipping
