Eric Kloss - First Class!
Some great work by the Byard/Davis/Dawson rhythm section on this disc. Kloss was just 17 years old when these recordings were made. Crazy.

Perhaps you've heard Jim Gailloreto's string quartet arrangements on Kurt Elling's 'Dedicated To You' ? Anyway , the 'Jazz String Quintet' album is superb and deserving of repeated playings. A finer, more sensitive and creative jazz-classical crossover album I don't think has yet existed. Not to everyone's taste, but I think that you'll love it
