Jarrett Survivor's Suite trivia

Is that photo of the structure on the Survivor's Suite something famous?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

The cover photo is by Keith Jarrett.

If I recall correctly, it's a B&B/inn where Jarrett was staying. Can't remember the location. Somewhere in France maybe?

So you're not missing anything. It's just a spectral, creepy picture.

I love SURVIVORS SUITE and the live album that was released two years later under trying circumstances of that band on it's last leg EYES OF THE HEART. I was just listening to both recently and thinking how the jazz world has changed considering that SS was jazz album of the year that year. These days I keep seeing Esperanza Spalding, Robert Glasper, and the like being called the new face of jazz. My how the times have changed!

Tabarka, Tunisia (Jarrett's American Quartet was playing the Jazz Festival there)

I was listening to the BBC wireless the other day, and Ravel was one of the featured composers of the day. One piece sounded familiar -- Keith Jarrett uses it, practically note for note, towards the end of Part One of the Survivor's Suite.

Has anyone else noticed this?
