Hi Page, I hope you’re being complimentary, when you say I’m a funny guy?
I hope funny - ha ha; and not funny – er, um? Only joaking.

I have to set the record straight. I was not hired by The Ballet Company to take photographs.
I was a “Friend of The Birmingham Royal Ballet.” They were kind enough to give permission to photograph some of their dress rehearsals, to which I am grateful for.
I intend to email them at some stage, so as to hopefully gain their permission to post some photos. As I have no compunction to renege on my promise I made to them.
Regards,
Pope.

More pictures, I hope this dropbox link process is okay with everyone.

The first picture is a three shot stitch of the farmhouse across the street from me. It's about to be torn down and replaced with densely packed condos. Thank you Mayor Menino.

Farmhouse

The next two pictures were taken yesterday in my backyard. One is the welcome mat at our back door and the other is a picture of two leaves stuck in our patio table. As you can tell, I don't get out much.

I love the "Home" picture Homer... and you've actually inspired me. I'm about to redo a laundry room that we have, one that serves as a short-cut convenient access into the main living area of my house. I have a lot of spare flooring tiles left over from other projects... too few to do anything with, but too beautiful to throw out I've always felt. As soon as I saw "Home" I knew that I could make such a design out of a floor tile mosaic, on a slightly larger scale maybe - and then tile the rest of the floor around it. I'll put it right in front of the door leading into the house. Thanks.... and great photos as usual.

Happy Thanksgiving. One more day of work for me before I'm really free from responsibility but my guess is tomorrow is more of a push the mouse day instead of being productive. In anticipation, I went out and had a few beers with the wife. We heard a jazz band over dinner which was really very very good. Stellinas in Watertown MA.

I got home about an hour ago and began to play with this picture. I think I may have posted an earlier version a few posts back. View this at as full resolution as possible, the small version doesn't do it justice.

I hope to get out and shoot a bunch during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Very nice images 1/2. I love the Plymouth and would come back for a few more snaps as there is a lot of material to work with from just what can be seen in this one picture.

I caught a cold but still managed to get out yesterday. I just finished working on this two shot stitch. It's hand held and I cranked the ISO up to 200. I have yet to shoot higher with this camera but will be trying some B&W when I can. The noise does not look like a Bayer sensor, and seems to have film like qualities.

This is Chandler's Pond from Lake Shore Road which is at the edge of BC campus in Brighton, MA

I finished another one. This is one the way to the pond at the kids playground. The colors were brilliant.

.5 Baked, nice shots. Your final landscape, nice one. Try viewing it and cropping it starting at the top, gradually cropping down. You should see how it changes its “feel.”
Yes, you could do the same, cropping from the bottom upwards, etc, etc.
My apologies if you have already done so.

Looking at all different shots, colour, B&W. Cropping, changing contrast, saturation etc, etc. Educates your eye.
Apologies Homer, I like your shots, of course, no cropping required on your “two shot stitch.”

John, see how .5’s landscape looks – in comparison, when there is approx 1 and a half inches of sky (on my screen). The composition changes, and all the sky is warm. A different feel. Like wise just over an inch of lake to the full sky, again, a different composition, and a different feel. Just below the inch, there is water detail, which draws your attention from the sky. But just a bit of it could make a good fore ground.
Use your eye, John; Use your eye!
(Sorry, I just felt like getting into Starwars mode). No offence. Anyway, back to the plot.
Little things like this make photography interesting. That’s one of the beauties of it.
