Looking for a specific type of Jazz group.

I'm a pretty huge Jazz fan. A year ago I was in a upscale restaurant in philly and there was a group consisting of a drummer, upright bassist, pianist, and female vocalist. I was amazed with their style and sound. Do any of you know any groups, albums, even songs with this band format?
