Jeff -- cool stuff. Is that entirely graphic design? 'Would be curious to see trantrums 1-7
![]() Blacryder - more cool images . . . please keep 'em coming Nothing new on my end, although my new shop is finally finished, and I’m pretty close to having it all set up. Unfortunately, I don’t have any “before” photos, except a few on my phone that I’m having trouble getting off . . . Suffice it to say, this was the rear of my garage. It was previously open to the rest of the garage, except for a small wall about as wide as the sink (the sink was already there). All the shelving and cabinets are new, although we did salvage a good bit from some old stuff that was already there. The work tables are new, too. The old floor was bare concrete (now covered with an epoxy paint), as was the half-wall around the exterior (which is now painted that red color). One of the two windows was added (the other replaced) as well as the can lighting overhead. The little cubby with the blue pegboard and pink tools is for my girls ☺ The whole area is about 10’x25’ . It’s got a small in-wall shop heater, and is insulated pretty tight. I should be able to use it year-round. ‘Pretty stoked to get to work out there . . . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Suggested Farewell Speech (More in jest!!).
Here is a suggestion for a farewell speech for an old friend of mine, who is about to retire. We used to work together long ago. There was an erstwhile colleague of mine, who is still a colleague of my friend, but shall we say, his attitude is not all that wholesome. (Not that I am perfect by any stretch of the imagination).
Suggested farewell speech: “I’d just like to make a brief statement, as I start a new chapter of my life. I’ve met a varied lot of people on my way, and from experience, I’ve learned a tad or two along the journey. Now I am embarking on a new phase. My life style will change. Circumstances are such that I can realise a lifetime ambition. My hatchlings have flown the nest, I am now free. I intend to become a superficial, hedonistic bastard who has no care for anyone other than myself. Should anyone wish to draw comparisons with those, past or present: Let me emphasise here and now; my wife is not a whore!! Without further ado; let us all raise our glasses, and drink to my health. I start as I mean to go on!! Swig, belch!!" Please take note this is only written in jest. Whether or not my friend will be influenced in any way by my suggestion, remains to be seen. I hope he has a laugh at least. I hope he shows it to his wife. She may say boll***s, just do it anyway??!!!

![]() Nice little studio you've got, Pope, and you've got a real easel! Nice, man. I'd love to have an easel. Right now I'm using a music stand, which is a pain the ass. Still, it works. I've realized that I've been looking at too many paintings, and it's messing with my mind. i don't know what to paint anymore! Maybe I'll get really drunk and get my brushes and smear paint around like a lunatic, and see how that comes out.

It's nice of you to compliment the studio, but it is not mine. It is .5 Baked's place. All credit must go to him. Incidentely, what did you think of my "Suggested Farewell Speech" - made in jest?

Very very nice 1/2, all of the photos. I understand that they're posted as a creative workspace, one that looks like a meticulously conceived one at that, but besides appreciating that, I enjoy seeing finished spaces of any variety. I myself would have found the project more interesting to see before, during, and after shots... but again, I realize that wasn't your purpose posting them. That's my thing though. I suspect that's actually where I most indulge my creativity - with sheetrock, wires, pipes, lumber. Through designing a space in my head, framing it out, adding lighting and finishing touches.... transforming spaces. So its interesting to see someone else's project for me. I've actually been toying with the idea of putting together such a before/during/after photo story of a recent house renovation I did - a sort of a combination of my take on the nature of my own creativity and something like the storyline photo essays that Tenorman posted in the "pictures" thread.

Jeff - cool photo. Would be interested to know more about the symbolism, although the title and the nature of the objects gives me some hints. Anyway, it's interesting . . . Ian- I dig the photoshop stuff - especially shot #1 -- beautiful! And pope - you gave me a chuckle. I think it could work -- assuming your friend can play the part . . . ![]()

Yep, the cold can be tough. Hope you didn't really hurt yourself? The cold 'shines' through your words, literally as well as figuratively and it seems your stereo has been surround-ed by it too!
