Lee Morgan The Best of Birdland

I used to have this album on Roulette, one side with John Coltrane doing Like Sonny, the other side by Lee Morgan and Wayne Shorter in a quintet with bobby Timmons from 1960, i finally found the Shorter and Morgan trax on a reissue CD of Morgan's Dizzy Atmosphere which was origianlly issued on Specialty (the Little Richard label of all labels), great music..
this is a great thread just to find about about stuff i'd never heard before, like the afore posted Jackie Mac album with Chas Tolliver.. must be awesome..

Gary Burton Quartet: Easy As Pie

A great album that ECM has never reissued. I have it on vinyl, but with no turntable, I'm reduced to listening to it via a homemade cassette tape I made for car trips in the stone ages. (You have no idea what a cassette tape in an ancient boombox does to ECM's careful production techniques).

Gary Burton Quintet – Dreams So Real : Music of Carla Bley

Around 18 months ago I heard the man himself describe this as his own personal favourite amongst those he'd recorded. And who am I to disagree
