Best Correspondence Or Online Teachers?

Hey everybody,
Ok after playing a ton of gigs in the last year I'm starting to a feel that I'm getting into a rut with my playing. I feel like I'm just doing the same stuff over and over again.

So, can you guys recommend a great teacher who teaches either online or through correspondence lessons?

I play piano but if they are an organized teacher and a great player I'd be open to study with a teacher who plays any instrument.

There are some guys in my area who are good players but they are so unorganized in their teaching.

So, out there is not only a monster player but a monster teacher too?

Used to be Charlie Banacos... the list of professional musicians that studied under him is pretty staggering. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago, but I understand his daughter and Gary Dial are continuing the correspondence lessons. Might be worth a shot.

You play keys right?

Scot Ranney (LJP) does skype, I'm pretty sure Dave Frank does too.

I only do lessons by phone (but skype is on the horizon).

I wrote letters(yep...old school) to two players I really really liked, Clare Fischer and Jimmy Wyble. They both wrote back or called. It was amazing. In any case it's nice to connect with specific players you admire.

Ed Byrne, who left this Forum in 2009, has an extremely structured approach and is still selling lessons through his Website.

Ed has performed with many world-class players.

What can you say about the lessons online with Fred Hersch?
