That is good to know Scott, thanks! Despite all of Tenorman's efforts to try to explain how to do it, I still do not understand. I guess I'm hopeless.
![]() The guitar however is lovely. I love the wood, it is real beautiful and a great sound too. It was made in Italy. My brother gave it to me in 1997 when I joined a guitarclass especially for primary school teachers. We learned to accompany children with their singing there, just learning some chords and simple rhythms to play. I dragged 4 of my colleagues to this class but I was the only one to stick to the class for 3 years. I do not play very well but I enjoy to play with my singing. I had another one. My best friend made me one as a present, not playable I'm afraid despite the real strings and the wooden body. The back was made of paper, lol. I had to play it though at that time, sort of, he made me sing and play. There was a present hidden in the back, a guitarbook for me to study. I have pictures of that one too, but well it's not a real instrument and I don't have it anymore since my boyfriend threw it in the garbage. |

I've removed a few posts that were concerned with the posting of images rather than the instruments themselves
Bit of housekeeping

As I'm new to the forum, I figured this would be an appropriate introduction of myself by posting a couple of pictures of my main axes.
I'm a guitarist (more of a blues guitarist than jazz, but I'm playing more jazz shows so we'll see), bassist (have played a few jazz shows as a bassist as well) and aspiring multi-instrumentalist on mandolin, cello, piano, and clarinet (we'll see how these go). As for my main axes: These are my main guitars: Gibson SG, Gibson ES-135 (with fralin p90's), and a Gibson Les Paul Standard ![]() Into: A Fender Super Reverb. The Dr. Z is actually on it's way out. I'm trading it this week for a 1965 Super Reverb to go with my 1970 shown in this picture.

Saw someone looking at this, which has been dormant for a couple of years.
Any Christmas present instruments? or anyone not published yet?

I was telling my son, also a musician, how I was jonesing for a telecaster after all these years, but was afraid his mother would be less than happy to see another guitar come through the door, because let's face it...music hasn't ever provided for a very stable income with any luxuries.
Well, I felt like the luckiest man alive when I found this under the tree from my wife and 3 grown kids...sniffle...a true musician's family. |

So...
Not a Christmas present but I did pickup this 1995 Samick built Epiphone Joe Pass model on the seriously cheap last month. It is pretty much mint with no real playing on it and came out of the Samick factory during a time that they were making great pieces...
