Shimrit Shoshan - Keep It Movin': I am still incredibly saddened by Shoshan's death in August. Judging by her debut, she had so much to offer.

Various Artists - Bill Evans: A Tribute (PAJ)
2 LPs. A lovely album. Usually, these sorts of multi-artist tributes don't hang together very well, but this one does. Recorded only a year or so after Evans' passing, all of the performances sound heart-felt. My favorite tracks are by Herbie ("Dolphin Dance"), Richie Beirach ("Blue in Green"), and Denny Zeitlin ("Quiet Now").

The Bill Evans tribute above prompted me to pull out this LP:

Richie Beirach, George Mraz, Al Foster - Elegy for Bill Evans (PAJ)
After closely listening to 2 LPs worth of solo piano, the bass and drums on this record are LEAPING out of my speakers.

I really like solo piano, but I LOVE piano trios.
