So strange, I was just talking to my wife yesterday saying how sad it was that Bowie had retired! I had no idea this was coming.

It's a fantastic song. You know, a few Bowie albums have had the special treatment - but none of the Berlin Trilogy have as yet. I'd pay whatever they asked for deluxe editions of those titles.

This new song has echoes of Ashes to Ashes. In Ashes he refers to the early days (Major Tom), and now he's directly referencing the Berlin sessions. I don't care if he's singing about Ice Cream, new Bowie after a decade is just fantastic.
