Indeed, SACD was a nice idea on paper, and that's about it. In Japan they're releasing music on Blu-Ray now to get higher resolution than Red Book. This makes sense, since Blu-Ray is the standard drive for movies.

Mind you, I'm more than happy with Red Book.
