Hello Bdiament!

My father told me he doesn't want to make a plan, and told me my system is already good like that

Just been reading this thread.

Philou how is your system doing now?

Have you made any changes to it?

Not many like mine.

I'd like to make the point that although I do still play vinyl, (as well as this I've two jukeboxes which play vinyl), CDs which I use to rip my mp3s for this system give far better stereo separation than vinyl which relies on the stylus vibrating through two planes.

But you can't replicate the anticipation of hearing the stylus tracking in before the music starts.

Hello ! I am very sorry to answer so late, I didn't come to the site for a very long time

Well, my system is still the same, but I am looking to buy new speakers and a good CD/SACD player I didn't take the speakers far away from the walls because my living room is kind of small...
But the thing is that I will surely move from where I am now (house) to an appartment (but have to wait like 2 years) so the best would be to wait to see the new home configurations...

What about you? Do you have a nice system?

I hope you didn't forget this thread Take care

My main system in it's current configuration is comprised of the following.

Bel Canto M300 mono blocks
Bel Canto DAC 1.5
Sony SCD C2000ES CD player
Squeezebox Touch
Sony SS-M7 speakers

Don't let the Sony speakers fool you. While not known for their speakers, every 10 years or so Sony makes an audiophile worthy speaker just to show people they can. I waited patiently to get my hands on a pair of these and finally got them a few months ago.
I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to load them.
For now they can be seen in my avatar.

I used to be "into it". In fact I sold "high end" gear back in the 70s and 80s. (shudder)

My current "system" consists of two ears and a fourth row seat, preferrably on the piano side of the bandstand.

Not being a musician but still loving music my audio system is very important to me. I don't have mega buck setups but what I do have is very nice. Personally, I hate listening to great music on crappy systems but even that is preferable to no music at all.
