That's about what I paid for it. To me, it's easily worth 20 bucks.

Have you heard Solal's NY-1 (Blue Note)? If you like NY-1, you will almost certainly like Suite for Trio. Speaking for myself, these two recordings are among my favorite trio records (by anyone) and prime examples of Solal's best work.

Of course, as ever, your mileage may vary.

I was just looking at the Suite for Trio CD cover image. It says: "Solal • Series" and "The MPS Years." It looks like the record label (now Universal) planned a series of MPS reissues for Solal -- but I don't think they ever got past this one release. Argh!

Yes, I like that one. Hyperbole runs rampant on these boards. Just checking to see if you're one of its supporters.

FWIW, for me to pay $20 for a disc, it better be damn near classic. There are so many REALLY GOOD piano trio discs around that it's very difficult to separate the bests from the second bests.
