At the risk of being redundant, i haven't heard it... but i'm keen to.

I just ordered "Genera". Not that my opinion is worth much but when the album arrives, I will give it to you anyway.

Cool, i'll definitely be keen to hear your opinion (Song/Dance being one of the best recommendations i've ever received!). Cheers.

I kind of wish that I hadn't pledged to say something about this CD. It's easier to comment when you think an album is great. The deal is that this isn't bad stuff at all but after a couple of listens, for my taste it just isn't real exciting.

Maybe because of the line-up I was expecting too much. Also, I've been on a little buying binge and I just like the other stuff I've gotten better.

I haven't heard the album but i can relate to what you're saying here... still, sounds like it could be one to revisit at some point. Cheers.

I've had this album for a couple of weeks having ordered it from Eisenstadt's website; it's a real gem. It was somewhat expectation defying in that it doesn't just sound like a Canada Day album but with a bit more brass fleshing it out... as cool as that would've been this is it's own beast and is somehow even more exciting.

Looks like there's a new September Trio album coming out later this year:

The first album was quite subdued and took a while to grow on me; as Eisenstadt notes in the attached video it was basically an album of ballads. It sounds like the new album will be more varied. Looking forward to hearing this.
