Identify this kind of jazz?

Is there a specific name for this type of jazz?

No soundtrack credits on the movie I cut it out of (Cape Fear, 1962) to let me explore more. Any guidance on the type or where I can find more of the same is greatly appreciated, since I'm green wrt jazz and I love the cadence and feel of this right here a lot.

Sounds to me like some old-fashioned, funky rhythm & blues.

Would people call it Soul Jazz? Anyway, it made me think of this, which might lead you to other stuff:

In the 60s, you could hear the same type of music on TV shows such as M Squad, Mike Hammer, Staccato, Peter Gunn.....they called it jazz. It was, and still is, great stuff.

If you like it, get a copy of Mancini's Peter Gunn album.

One of my favorite jazz/blues pieces is the 'theme tune to Marker', a uk detective series around around the 60s/70s. Mmm-
