Kevin Ayers dead at 68

This thread may be moved someplace else but Kevin Ayers was not a jazz musician. However, he was a founder member of Soft Machine and he did have the likes of Lol Coxhill, David Bedford and Mike Oldfield in his early band The Whole World. This band was really terrific and certainly influenced me greatly. He also wrote some great, unusual songs, lyrically and musically. R.I.P Kevin.

Kevin is one of those crazily imaginative, spaced Peter Pan figures it is difficult (and horrible) to imagine dead. RIP.
