Barcodes for Antique Jazz records

I have a couple of classic Jazz records which I want to get onto Amazon and iTunes, but I am told that I will need to have barcodes to list them on these sites. Is it right? If yes then how can I acquire the same?

Without a barcode you will not be able to list your album on Amazon and you will also need Barcodes for getting your songs on iTunes. Check if your CD manufacturer allows it or if they have any contacts which can get you the same. Or else you will have to get your barcodes directly from GS1 or from one of there resellers. GS1 will require $750 membership and if you contact a reseller they will charge you less per barcode. Check this music barcode guide to know more.
