Santana - Abraxas

My father played this record constantly when I was a kid. I loved it back then, and I still love it now.

Involuntarily, I am listening to a blackbird on the tree outside my window defending his territory while trying to listen to Charlie Parker

Jackie, Great to see someone else enjoy Arvo Part's works. A few personal favorites:

Thank you Alypius for adding some more (unknown to me) Avro Part. I appreciate it, and have noted the titles.

One of my favorite albums.I wish Tanya Donelly had recorded more music than she has over the past 20 years.I heard though she has something new in the works.Star is just amazing, ethereal guitar work and vocals. It`s a shame people regard Belly as a one hit wonder. She`s a really sweet lady too,I talked to her on her board years ago.I heard she`s a big Tom Waits fan so I asked her what Waits albums she favorites.Rain Dogs and Frank`s Wild Years she said.

I got to know her through the early days of Throwing Muses. If I recall though, the follow up to this one wasn't as good...... don't know what I'd make of it today though.

I'm playing Tom Waits quite a bit lately. I found that there were four albums of his I didn't own! Two are early tracks and demos, the other two were live discs. So I grabbed them, which leads to others..... you know how it goes.
