Vintage (1960s/70s) Selmer & Conn Saxophones
Some good friends have recently discovered among some family possessions three vintage (1960s/70s) saxophones: A Selmer MK VI alto, a Selmer MK VI tenor and a Conn soprano.
The owners are friends of mine who discovered them as part of their late father’s possessions as part of his estate. While they hold much sentimental value, the owners are not musicians. They are primarily interested in selling them to someone who would appreciate their worth and actually play them.
The Selmer MK VI alto and tenor have been appraised by their insurer at anywhere between $7500 to $14,000 each, and the Conn soprano in the $4000 to $5000 range.
I would be glad to provide photographs of each saxophone and more detailed information if you’d like to learn more. And would be very glad to put you in direct contact with the owners if you’d like, too. I’m just trying to help my friends find a good home for these heirloom saxophones.
Thanks very much!
