Is it me, or do these two Art Pepper/Chet Baker releases have the same summary?

Are they different?

"The Route" and "Playboys" are indeed different recordings; but since these are supposedly "complete" sessions, I don't know if they are different or not. The description is obviously the same, which doesn't seem correct.

The "Playboys" one has duplicates of Minor Yours and Tynan Time, which also are on "The Route", but it's not clear if they are just alternate takes or what.
"The Route" looks like it has some tracks that aren't on the other one.

The songs that appear to be the same are. All it takes is slight investigative work. Try google

The 2nd link above is one to a legitimate release. The first one is not. All discussion of morality and copyright infringement aside, things get especially hairy when a label like Fresh Sound enters the mix. That being said, when speaking from a strictly US release point of view, "The Playboys" and "The Route" are two separate and distinct releases. Of course, whether or not each may be available is, and will always be, an entirely different story. Proceed with caution, or you'll end up owning the same music more times than you'll want to.

This is the link for the US release of "Playboys":

This is a link to the same music which later was released by Blue Note on a cd entitiled "Picture of Heath":

As a tangent, I recently pick up this in my local vinyl shop:

and it is great! I know people generally have been dismissive of Art Pepper's "post-Coltrane" period, but this record (IMO) proves them wrong, he totally reinvented himself in this period. I love the classic stuff as well, but he really pulled the modern thing off well.

I don't know who these people are, but in my view, Art played with a far greater depth of feeling in his "post-Coltrane" years. The trios with George Cables or Milcho Leviev on piano reached some pretty astonishing heights - especially live.
