Besides HDtracks,

. . . where can one purchase high-resolution/high-definition "audiophile" music downloads? Personally I like FLAC but can work with any lossless format.

BTW, I love HDtracks.

I've been sizing up some of the Wayne Horvitz albums on HDtracks. Until I start making more money than I know what to do with, each Horvitz song sample on HDt is like another twist of the knife.

Funny you should mention - Forever or Sweeter Than The Day? I'm unfamiliar but like the clips.

Should I? Shouldn't I? What's your favorite: I have no Horvitz at home.

Food or art?

Soundkeeper Recordings high res files (.aif or .wav, 96k or 192k) are available on DVD-R but not downloads.

You might want to check out Cookie Marenco's Blue Coast Records website; a growing number of performances are available at 44.1 and 96 kHz.

As a client, I'm very happy with this studio's work.

Best,

J.

Hey, Mark, I just saw your question.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with "Sweeter Than the Day", though there isn't a noticeable quality difference between the two albums. You can't go wrong with either one.

As far as Horvitz overall, my top three are:

1. 4+1 Ensemble
2. Way Out East
3. Sweeter Than the Day

Here's an AAJ Wayne Horvitz thread I started. Feel free to contribute to it. I wish more people were talking about Wayne on the forum.

Just noticed on Twitter that Blue Note Records is offering a 15% off sale on various albums at HDTracks.

Here's a link to the tweet...

Cheers.
