Lester Coltrane
Maybe somebody elese will think this is as funny as I do:
I'm listening to the first CD of Louis Armstrong's "Hot Fives & Sevens" on the AKG K1000s fed from AHH! 4000 Njoe Tjoeb through the AudioValve RKV upstairs. Got a couple of spaniels laying on top of me on the couch and am reading a new book on recorded jazz. I hear this commotion over to one side; it's She Who Must Be Obeyed doing the charleston to the music leaking from the K1000s. I ask her if she knows who is playing and wave her to the CD cover by the RKV. "Lester Coltrane?" SWMBO asks.

Lester Coltrane's one of my favourites. He's right up there with Fats Ra and Thelonious Mingus.
