Anat Cohen Quartet
Just had the pleasure of seeing Anat Cohen in Chicago. Her quartet, and the whole concert, were just outstanding in every possible respect. Jason Lindner on piano, Joe Martin on bass, Daniel Freedman on drums and Anat provided the finest example of a group that can breath together. True improvisation in that they did not play lots of well honed licks. They played in the moment and reacted to each other like a finely tuned machine. Just a wonderful concert.
