Jazz-Fusion Banjo - Ryan Cavanaugh seeking patrons for new album

Forgive the shameless promotion, but this is worthy of posting: Banjo conceptualist Ryan Cavanaugh is seeking supporters for a new jazz-fusion banjo album called Back Country to the Future with fusion legends Bill Evans (sax), Mark Egan (bass) and Joel Rosenblatt (drums).

Ryan tours internationally with Miles Davis alum saxophone player Bill Evans per recommendation from John McLaughlin. Please donate if you can, share wherever you can and watch his funny promo video here. http://igg.me/p/70325

Ryan says:

Dear patron,

The days of record labels funding artist projects are all but gone.
Independent artists such as myself are forced to seek out production budgets through other means. If it weren't for patrons some of the world’s most beautiful music may never have been heard. Please help us reach our goal in making some great new music!

Sincerely,
Ryan Cavanaugh

Just a shout-out for Ryan, who I first saw playing with Bill (review here).

Also reviewed his album, No Man's Land, and while I am afraid I cannot help you on the $ front, you know I'll be first in line to review it, Ryan.

Good luck!
Best!
John

Promo vid for Ryan Cavanaugh Back Country to the Future

Ryan made this video to help promote the new album. He's using his Deering Crossfire banjo and Line 6 pedal board. You'll have to ask him for more details beyond that...

Improvising on the Electric Banjo

He still needs donations, if anyone can toss a couple bucks his way, there are some great incentives. Ryan's IndieGoGo Fundraiser for Back Country to the Future.
