Sidsel Endresen 50th Birthday (with Molvaer, Wesseltoft, Westerhus ao)
 My review of the two-day celebration of Norwegian singer Sidsel Endresen's 60th Birthday, today at All About Jazz. Two nights at Oslo's premier jazz club,, Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria - one, a new ensemble debuted by Endresen, the other a tribute for her, with guests including Nils Petter Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltoft, Audun Kleive, Stian Westerhus, Django Bates, Hakon Kornstad, Jan Bang, Solveig Slettahjell, Live Maria Roggen, Eldbjorg Raknes and Emilie Christensen (daughter of drummer Jon). Two evenings of tremendous music. Review here. |
