As I have said “trust your eye.” Now I am being critical, - which I think is really what you want! What my eye is telling me is that you need to “burn in” some of the highlights on your latest shots. To what degree? I’ve said it before – trust your eye.
Conversely you may also have to “dodge” to lighten areas that have become too dark, when the contrast has increased. I have not mentioned all the areas, which would require change. Eventually your own eye will tell you.
Look at the shoulders, and the hair on the guitar player, also the highlights on the mike.
The hair on the double bass player, on the side nearest the bass, burn it in to what your eye tells you to.
The highlights on the mike of the female singer need burning in.
Time, I know will dictate what you can achieve, but I’d rather pass on some info which you will find useful.
I’d rather have the contrast like the ones you have now, than the ones previous.
Knowing adjustments can be made, and being aware of the fact, but making allowance, due to time restrictions.
Well done,
Best,
Pope.
