An active bluesman who I think is really good is singer/harmonica master Charlie Musselwhite. His latest album, The Well, is excellent.

From his earlier career, I really like these albums: Ace of Harps, Delta Hardware, The Harmonica According To Charlie Musselwhite, Where Have All The Good Times Gone, and Stand Back. Most of the rest of his albums are quite good too.

Musselwhite is indeed excellent. He`s also a big jazz fan.He did a version of Yesterdays on Ace Of Hearts and said he was influenced by Clifford Brown`s version. His long take of Duke Pearson`s Christo Redemptor on Tennessee Woman I might like more than Donald Byrd`s

Musselwhite quotes from "Cherokee" and "One O'Clock Jump" fairly often in his harmonica solos--he does have a knowledge of jazz.

Live At Carnegie Hall -- Bill Withers.

Damn, I miss Bill Withers. Even a 40 year old, lesser known song like "I Can't Write Left Handed" has an emotional impact that beats the tar out of most music today.
