The Hot Club of San Francisco: Veronica

Thanks go out to duaneiac for putting me on to this. I'm a big fan of Gypsy cafe music and this certainly does not disappoint. Although I had heard this type of music on the radio, records and in movies in the 1950's, I first heard it live about 30 years ago in a little bar in upstate Washington. The band members all wore Hawaiian shirts and fedoras. They were real crowd-pleasers. Very cool, toe-tapping stuff.

I needed some energetic music for now.
Is it terribly corny when I like a title like: 'Safe from Harm'?

The very fact that this album is called More Songs & Hymns From the Polka Mass leads one to beleive that there must have been a previous volume called simply Songs & Hymns From the Polka Mass. Is it safe to assume you have that album as well? Now if they had recorded the Polka Mass in Latin, then you'd have a hit album, my friend!!!

Alas, I do not have Songs & Hymns From the Polka Mass yet. I had the choice of buying either and went with the classier album art. Hmmm...Polka Mass in Latin sounds interesting. I suddenly feel an urge to Google.
